For Quaker Week 22-30 September 2007

 17 September  Opening of the Swarthmoor Meeting House information centre by the Mayor of Ulverston at 1.45pm

20 - 30 September
Display in Ulverston Library foyer

23 September Swarthmoor Meeting House open day 2- 4pm

23 September Rob McKeever - "Quakers in Colthouse and Langdale"
A short Meeting for Worship at 2 pm followed by tea and biscuits at 2.30pm and at 3pm Rob McKeever will give an illustrated talk on the history of Quakers in Colthouse and Langdale. All are welcome to join in any part of the afternoon.

25 September  Swarthmoor Hall Open Evening
Open evening for neighbours  by invitation only. 6pm to 9.30pm. Tours of the historic rooms. Information displays about the Hall and the new building works. Tea/coffee and biscuits.

26 September Swarthmoor Hall 
Open Day  10am - 4pm Free tours of the historic rooms, gardens & grounds. Information displays. Tea and coffee on sale.

26 September Swarthmoor Meeting House open day 10- 4pm.

26 September First time meeting for Worship for anyone enquiring about Quakerism and our way of worship. 7.30 - 8pm.

29 September Colthouse meeting House Open day from 10.30am to 4pm. Guided tours of the seventeenth century Meeting House and Burial Ground. An exhibition about the history of Quakers and their beliefs. Fair Trade and bric-a-brac stalls and refreshments available.stall.

30 September Colthaouse Meeting for Worship 10.30am to 11.30am, with tea and biscuits after and a time for conversation when you can meet and talk to local Quakers. All welcome..  

1 - 6 October Display in Grange-over-Sands library

Exploring the interplay of light and darkness through poetry and drama with Rosemary Hoggett
The weekend will deepen our awareness of the importance of both dark and light in our lives. We shall share our response to a wide range of poetry and bring to life a pattern of dark and light in dramatic texts.
